Position: General Manager – Industry Engagement

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Post graduate

Skills required: 
— Strong affinity in Marketing and Partnership Building. Some experience in sales and marketing is a plus
— Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Hindi and regional languages is a bonus
— Expert Microsoft Office Suite user
— Comfortable with spending more time outside the office for primary research and meetings would be required

Other Requirements: Candidate should be
— Passionate about the challenges India is facing in education and employability domain
— Can work independently, with minimal supervision and is a go-getter and enjoys interacting with corporate India and is a great communicator
— Can deal with ambiguity and proactively explore solutions

Position Overview: Candidate will get an opportunity to engage with companies and institutions across the industrial spectrum in India, ranging from retail chains to manufacturing corporations. The role will include outreach and partnership building with companies in both the private and public sector to forge partnerships for Quest’s vocational training initiatives with the specific aim of improving employability prospects for youth.

Roles and Responsibilities:
— Building primary and secondary knowledge of the hiring and recruitment needs of companies in key Quest states – Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi / NCR, Maharashtra and North East states
— Create pan India partnerships for recruitment of Quest youth by companies
— Contribute to teams working on developing products and platforms that connect youth students and alumni with Industry – these could be digital and analog tools and services
— Engage with companies and bring them into contact with youth and trainers through Industry exposure events, placement events, mentoring and knowledge transfer opportunities and apprenticeships and job shadowing
— Understand the diverse profile of youth being trained by Quest partners and build pipelines with companies to increase youth job placement
— Working closely with Quest State Leads and State Teams to drive placement and Industry engagement locally
