Position: Training Manager
Reporting to: Head of the Department, M&E and Capacity Development
Location:Â Pune, Maharashtra
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social work, Development studies
Experience:Â
— Experience in the field of Education and teacher education.
— 3 – 5 years of experience in capacity building /training and after training support preferably in Teachers training.
— Experience of hands-on training with teachers and other stakeholders through facilitation and participatory workshops.
— Experience of content writing, designing training modules and testing.
— Conducting Training need analysis
Skills required:
— Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi/ regional language
— Excellent Presentation/ Delivery skills
— The ability to relate to trainees at all levels
— Multi-task and adhere to strict timelines
— Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to encourage and motivate people
— Hard-working, self-starter and team player reflecting strong commitment towards work
— Strong documentation skills
— Ability to manage date and maintain accurate records, organize and plan work
— Advanced proficiency in computer skills (MS Office)
— Knowledge or understanding of the national policy documents on education, principles of education and child psychology will be an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities:
> Actively support Head-CCD in designing need based capacity building programmes, content development, case studies and training modules.
> Support Head-CCD in conducting MT/MRP, Cluster/Taluka level trainings for teachers and other stakeholders
> Document capacity building, trainings, handholding visits and maintain records regularly.
> Compile, analyze, discuss and finalize district/ cluster/school specific capacity building needs in consultation with Head-CCD
> Support Head-CCD, DCs and programme team in conducting periodic cluster level refresher trainings as per needs
> Strengthen teacher forum meetings through academic discussions
> Conducting frequent field visits to project clusters/talukas/schools to:
— Conduct classroom observations
— Understand challenges/ difficulties of teacher in implementation of specific activities
— Support teacher to overcome challenges identified
— Identify cluster specific capacity building needs of teachers and CRCs
— Strengthen existing academic support mechanisms through encouraging, motivating and supporting CRCs in conducting classroom observations and providing academic support to teachers
— Strengthen capacities of district coordinators on academic and quality matters
> Support DCs and programme team in identification and documentation of good practices and case studies
> Support M&E team in collecting qualitative information, as needed.
> Prepare and submit reports about the developments made towards achieving planned objectives and quarterly and annual reports within specified time.
