MSRLM conducted TOT to make “Certified Rural Trainer” to improve training delivery under DDU-GKY

Nagpur :  To take the vision of Smt. R.Vimala, IAS, CEO MSRLM and Mr Randhir Somwanshi, COO, MSRLM to improve the quality and impact of skill training among rural youth, state team of Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission, conducted a 4-day training from 11th to 14 Feb for capacity building of trainers from PIA agencies implementing DDU-GKY in the state. On completion of training and certification program, the trainers were awarded “Certified Rural Trainer” certificates.

“We understand that a trainer’s skills and competence would make a huge impact on the retention and completion rates of trainees, who are mobilized by the skill partners with great effort. In addition, the knowledge, attitudes, skills and habits, in addition to understanding the rural audience has a direct impact on the project success. Trainers skills and attitudes are critical for the skill mission’s success”, said George Bernard Shaw, State Mission Manager, MSRLM.

Using a practical and structured approach we helped trainer enhance new and advance training skills, methods and techniques in the trainers. Using psychometrics, fundamental of behavioral sciences, techniques of positive psychology and outbound exercises in a typical rural setting helped the trainers enhance their effectiveness in training delivery. We transferred a standardized behavioral training session with loads of exercises and tools that can be used by the trainers, he added.
