SUMMARY:Training Session: Assistive Technology to Support Inclusive Practices
DESCRIPTION:Agenda:\nDepartment for International Development (DFID) UK\, in collaboration with Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) is organizing a series of Training  on Assistive Technology to Support Inclusive Practices. \nObjective:\nThe focus of these trainings will be on orientation and sensitization of Trainers on disabilities and the assistive technologies for enhanced quality of training. \nTopics to be covered:\nThe training covers intellectual\, physical\, sensory and specific learning disabilities along with specific technologies supporting learners in their living\, learning or work. These trainings will impart trainers\, the skills to assess the needs of learners with different disabilities\, make informed judgments about the use and support of general assistive technology. They will be able to support the learners on the selection and usage of suitable tools in overcoming their difficulties. DESCRIPTION:Public Financial Management System (PFMS) is a financial management platform developed by the office of the Controller General of Accounts\, Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Planning Commission. PFMS leverages a unique interface with the Core Banking System (CBS) of banks\, to provide real-time reporting of banking transactions. All financial data captured by the system can therefore be reconciled with system authenticated transactions. \nPFMS is now a must requirement for every Organization who runs any kind of Government Project and its scope and coverage is increasing . The purpose of the workshop is to provide the training on how to operate PFMS Portal. The objective of these workshops is to facilitate inclusion at workplace by reasonable accommodation\, strategy\, policy interventions and management techniques to support persons with disability from recruitment to retirement. \nObjective:\nThe Mindful Employer workshops aims to develop workforce skills\, employment schemes and inclusive environments to support people with disabilities. It also envisages to create confidence for attracting and supporting disabled customers and service users. It also aims at engaging with industry to understand the challenges in hiring of PwDs and the support required for the organisations to become inclusive. \nThey are designed as a half day programme focusing on meaning if mindful and inclusivity\, legislation\, leading inclusion and medical and social models of PwD inclusion.
