DESCRIPTION:Background: \nThe World Economic Forum’s 2018 Future of Jobs Report predicted that by 2022\, 75 million jobs across 20 major economies will be displaced by emerging technologies. The World Economic Forum estimates that over half of all employees (54%) will require ‘significant’ reskilling by 2022. The same report predicts that 133 million new roles are expected to be created by these very same technological advances. \nIndia is one among those 20 big economies which has around 200 million people that belong to the blue and grey collar industry across different sectors. However Industry 4.0 is one of the key driving factors for change in demand of skills\, but now COVID-19 impact also can’t be ignored. In Asian countries\, the manufacturing locus is also shifting and the impact of that is significant.
