SUMMARY:Launch of Disability Sensitisation E-Modules on NSDC E-Skills platform
DESCRIPTION:Background\n\n\nThe Foreign\, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (erstwhile DFID) in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) are delighted to invite you for the launch of 8 disability sensitization e-modules under the FCDO’s ‘Skills for Jobs Programme.’ These modules will be made available to 11000 empaneled training partners of NSDC and 8 Lakh youth who have enrolled on the NSDC portal so far. \nThese e-modules have been developed by UK’s national Star Foundation- a college having 50 years of experience in the disability space. The series of short online learning modules are designed to support practitioners who are working with people with disabilities in order to improve their practice and enhance their learning experience. The modules are for those in management\, teaching\, training\, support roles\, employers\, health care professionals\, and organizational leaders who work with people with disabilities. \nA formal launch event of these courses is planned for 22nd April 2021. The main purpose of this programme is to apprise the stakeholders about the key aspects of the courses\, highlight the benefits of the FCDO NSDC partnership\, and also provide an overview of UK best practices in the skill training of persons with disabilities.
