Position: Trainer
Location: Rural Karnataka, Bangalore
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Commerce/Management/ Development Studies/Public Policy
Experience:
— Experience in training and developing content for training/adult training (preferred)
— Minimum 2 years of experience in training/teaching
— Prior experience in the NGO sector will be an added advantage
Skills required:
— Ability to inspire and motivate behavioral change in rural communities through the training
— Effective public speaking and communication skills
— Ability to work independently, take ownership of activities and drive to completion
— Language skills – Kannada and English
Roles and Responsibilities:
— Take ownership of and lead the Buzz Training sessions
— Deliver two training sessions, three hours each, per day on the field
— Prepare training schedule and inform participants through the partner
— Support community mobilization activities to encourage more women to attend the training
— Interact with partner institutions for smooth implementation of training sessions
— Regularly update the Buzz office team and the on-site training team about the trainings
— Collect details of the participants at the pre-training stage
— Support the Community Coordinator to collect and monitor post-training impact
— Review and suggest changed to the training materials and contents periodically to adapt to the needs of each community

We drive in a classroom-on-wheels to villages and teach financial skills through activities, role-play, games and storytelling. We’ve trained nearly 12,000 women in 135 villages helping them move away from private money lenders, become entrepreneurs and expand their existing businesses. We are at a phase where we have proven that our model is impacting lives. We now want to intensify and scale up our activities so that we can help in changing many more lives. Towards this, we need a dynamic Operations Manager who can lead our on-field activities.
