JSLPS organizing Virtual CxO Meet

Background

“Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Countries with higher and better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work”.

The Rural Development Department of Government of Jharkhand (GoJ) has established a separate and autonomous society named as “Jharkhand State livelihood Promotion society” (JSLPS) which works as a nodal agency for effective implementation of livelihood promotion in the state. JSLPS is also the nodal agency for implementation of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Project in the state of Jhark hand.

NRLM has an ambitious mandate conceivably, the largest poverty reduction program for poor in the world, the National Rural Livelihoods Mission aims at reaching nearly 70 million rural households of India, it aims to reach out to all rural poor families and link them to sustainable livelihoods opportunities. It will nurture them till they come out of poverty and enjoy a decent quality of life.

Objective

The main objective of the event would be to understand the ecosystem and create a common platform for various stakeholders involved in DDU-GKY and other programs, thoroughly discuss an assortment of issues related to training, placement, retention, post-placement and career progression of the candidates trained under DDU-GKY and other skill development training programs.

Proposed Outcomes of the CXO meet

  • Understand the impact of COVID -19 on the Logistic, Retails and Healthcare industry
  • How JLSPS can provide and mitigate the shortage of skilled manpower
  • Understand the hiring practices, the periodic demand, salaries, and their preferences to hire females.
  • Understand the support industry can commit to JSLPS to take the DDUGKY Scheme to the
    next level.
