Travel: 25% within state
About Multiskill Foundation Course :
Multi Skill Foundation Course is a NSQF compliant course which introduces students to the world of work and helps them make an informed choice about their career. Project Swadheen aims to create proof points of quality vocational education program at state level through direct implementation by Lend A Hand India in 5-10 schools. With the help of these proof points, we aim to advocate for scaling and quality implementation of Multi Skill Foundation Course within Samagra Shiksha.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification:
- PG in Development Studies / Core Academics
- Professional Qualification (desirable)
- Must know local language of the state in which he/she will be deputed
Experience: Total 3-5 years’ experience at project implementation & monitoring level
Knowledge and Competencies:
- knowledge about vocational skills relevant in the Indian context.
- conceptual clarity on developmental principles and strategies.
- excellent listening, observation skills & team dynamics.
- good communication (oral, written) and presentation skills.
- good decision-making skills based on information processing, planning & scheduling carried out at project locations.
- a flair to talk & interact with large groups of students during school/classroom visits. Should be open to critical and positive feedback in order to improve project implementation.
- should be aware of the various actors in development their roles and limitations.
- should be a group facilitator for leading, confronting, clarifying, supporting causes and for conflict resolution at location level.
- should be self-driven and should possess an attitude of perseverance, proactivity, critical thinking and willingness to learn.
Job Description:
- Project Coordinator – Skill Education (Major State Capitals) is a middle management level position and has responsibility for leading project implementation, review, and management at the project location level.
- This work involves a high amount of fieldwork, so s/he should be open to travel extensively.
Qualification:
- 3-5 years of work experience (private sector/social enterprise/implementation of government schemes)
- Proven interest and track record in the area of skill development
- Past experience of working with government agencies, especially at the state level, a must
- Management consulting experience preferred but not a must
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Project management experience a must
- Past experience of working with senior management
- Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
