In a strategic push to strengthen India’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has established nine new Technology Centres (TCs) under the Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP). This expansion adds to the existing network of 18 Centres, creating a stronger national ecosystem for technology adoption, technical support, and future-ready skill development for MSMEs. For the financial year 2025–26, the Ministry has allocated ₹200 crore for the establishment and operations of these Technology Centres under TCSP—underscoring the Government’s commitment to empowering MSMEs with state-of-the-art infrastructure and industry-relevant training.
During 2024–25, these centres have trained over 3.28 lakh individuals, including MSME entrepreneurs, employees, and youth seeking industry-ready technical skills. These Centres continue to serve as critical enablers, helping enterprises enhance productivity, increase competitiveness, and adopt advanced manufacturing practices.
To meet the evolving needs of industry, the Technology Centres have rolled out specialized programmes in cutting-edge domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). These modules have also been seamlessly integrated into regular short-term and long-term training curricula, ensuring that trainees are equipped with emerging skills essential for the next wave of industrial transformation.
By focusing on advanced technologies and structured capacity-building, the Ministry aims to accelerate digital adoption across the MSME landscape, strengthen enterprise capabilities, and build a future-ready workforce aligned with India’s growth priorities.
