The Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Council (CGSSC) successfully conducted the Regional WorldSkills Competition for the Northeast Region at the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar, as part of the IndiaSkills 2025 initiative.
The competition featured two advanced manufacturing trades — CNC Turning and CNC Milling — and brought together skilled candidates from across the Northeast region. Participants were evaluated on industry-aligned tasks mapped to WorldSkills standards, focusing on precision, process planning, machining quality, safety compliance, and time management.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Chief Experts, Trade Experts, State Team Leaders, the Workshop Manager, and CGSSC representatives, ensuring transparent assessment and adherence to competition guidelines. The state-of-the-art infrastructure at the World Skill Center enabled candidates to demonstrate their technical competencies on advanced CNC machinery.
The Regional WorldSkills Competition serves as a key platform for identifying high-performing talent for the next stages of the IndiaSkills pathway and reinforces industry readiness in the capital goods sector.
Through such initiatives, CGSSC continues to promote excellence, competitiveness, and global benchmarking in skill development, contributing to the creation of a future-ready workforce for India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
