Chandigarh : Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya on Thursday interacted with with the officials of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) which is currently operating from Gurugram and going to be established at village Dudhola of district Palwal.
He said that the establishment of SVSU in village Dudhola is a commendable endeavor of the State Government, which would train the youth under skill development Mission.
Arya said that degree courses are also necessary in this university besides various certificate and vocational courses. The university is also imparting training in Banchari folk art which is centuries old so as to keep it alive and also essential for the culture of Haryana. Along with this, other traditional arts and languages like Sharada Lipi (centuries old writing system) are also being promoted, he said.
The Governor also urged all the technical institutes of the state to impart training to the youth according to the employment programs being run by the Central and State Government so that they can get employment.
Emphasizing on technical education, Arya said that that more and more youths should get associated with technical education institutions.
He described the State Government’s apprenticeship scheme as an excellent step in building future of the youth also congratulated the State Government for the award being given by the Central Government for connecting more and more youth with the apprenticeship scheme in Haryana.
Earlier, Registrar of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Dudhola, Ritu Bajaj apprised the Governor about different activities of the University.
