In a significant move to bolster skill development initiatives in Karnataka, the Karnataka Skills Development Corporation (KSDC) has appointed Capt Kaustav Nath as the Chief Consultant for the IndiaSkills/WorldSkills Competition. This appointment comes as a testament to Capt Nath’s exceptional contributions to the field of skill development, particularly in his role as Engagement Officer for the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in Karnataka, Goa & Tripura.
Shri Siddaramaiah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka had launched Karnataka Skill Olympics on World Youth Skills Day this year and through this initiative, in order to gain recognition and honours for the state, KSDC wants to continue its momentum in skill development and equip the upcoming generation of talented professionals to compete internationally.
Last year, Capt Nath played a pivotal role in Karnataka’s remarkable performance at the IndiaSkills Competition, where the state secured the second position nationwide. This achievement is a direct reflection of his dedication to promoting skill excellence and his expertise in guiding young talent.
As Chief Consultant, Capt Nath will oversee the functionality of the newly Created Project Management Unit (PMU) for Karnataka Skill Olympics & Karnataka’s participation in the WorldSkills Competition, working closely with state authorities, industry partners, and educational institutions. He will leverage his experience in skill development to enhance Karnataka’s performance in national and international skill competitions.
Capt Nath will provide guidance to young participants, helping them hone their skills and compete at the highest levels.
