Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Several years of experience in managing an office in an organization

— Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information are crucial requirements to carry out the work of the OM at SARTTAC

— Good IT skills, such as familiarity with standard computer software packages

In coordination with the Director, the Office Manager (OM) has overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, managing, and supervising the administrative matters of the Center and for managing and developing the support staff. He/she supports the work of the Center’s Advisors who will deliver capacity building advice and provide training, including workshops, both at the New Delhi location and at various regional locations. He/she will also work closely with the Center’s Budget Officer on budget issues related to the Center and will coordinate very closely with IMF headquarters (HQ) departments on all administrative aspects of the Center’s work.
Roles and Responsibilities:
> Office Management
— Ensures smooth functioning of the office (including equipment, furniture, office vehicle, and operations);
— Maintains a weekly mission/travel planner; staff leave records;
— Oversees the management of the IT platform of the Center.
> Staffing
— Pivotal to the recruitment of local staff at SARTTAC. This involves screening resumes, short listing candidates, conducting tests, interviewing, preparing contracts and training staff on systems, policies and more;
— Aids new resident advisors in settling into the country;
— Prepares contracts for short-term assignments and processes/oversees the payment through verifying days worked and processing expense reports;
— Takes part in the performance evaluation meeting of the support staff with the Director.
> Strategic Planning of the Center’s work mapping
— Consolidates the entire annual work program for the Center;
— Liaison with government/multilateral/bilateral agencies.
— Ensures all procurement procedures are in line with IMF procedures and guidelines;
— Develops a system to ensure streamlined workflow, this includes ensuring on-time visa issuance; security clearance, preparing expert contracts, travel and accommodation arrangements, expense reports, etc;
— Creates an operations manual for the Center and ensures that it is updated on a regular basis to reflect policy changes and updates in line with changes at HQ;
— As part of the overall strategic planning for the Center, assists in the preparation of the Steering Committee and Annual reports.
> Oversight of Training and Workshop Administration
— Oversees all matters related to both in-house training and regional workshop delivery
— Prepares the training and workshop venues, negotiates rates and contracts with hotels;
— Manages the events prior to, during, and after the training and workshops;
— Prepares contracts for lecturers;
> Security
— Keeps information on all IMF/SARTTAC staff and visiting staff at all times;
— Oversees the issuance of UN identification cards to all staff;
— Implements necessary safeguards to ensure the security of participants (e.g. systematically inform the relevant authorities).
Remuneration: Rs 3.5 to 4 lacs per annum depending upon experience

The South Asia Regional Training and Technical Assistance Center (SARTTAC), which is in the process of being established in New Delhi, India, is a collaborative effort between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and several bilateral donors with a mission to strengthen the skills of officials from the six member countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka) in economic analysis, diagnosis, and policy formulation through the provision of capacity building advice and skill development in the IMF’s core areas of macroeconomic and financial management.
