New Delhi : National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Gurugram, at the Ministry of Skill Development office, Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi.
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation and collaboration between the two entities with the aim of enhancing the education services available in India, in line with Skill India Mission. The collaboration targets to ensure purposeful engagement of Faculty, Experts and Industry Partners for various academic activities. Dr. C. Thangraj, Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Bhopal and Prof. Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Gurugram, today signed the MoU in the august presence of Shri AnantKumar Hegde, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and other senior officials from MSDE, IGNOU, NITTTR and SVSU.
The association would facilitate training of counsellors/ trainers who will handhold skill trainees to nurture their education action plan. This would include:
- Design, Develop and modify NSQF aligned Curriculum for of various courses of SVSU
- Develop and develop Learning Resources (LRs) package for various courses/subjects/topics.
- Develop E-learning content and videos of vocational courses and programmes through MOOC/SWAYAM or any other appropriate platform for various courses/subjects/topics
- Organise jointly National and International conferences, seminars, and researches in Technical and Vocational Education
- Organise leadership and managerial skill development programmes
- Design and Development of portfolio development plan to assess and monitor the profile of development of students and assessment guidelines
Speaking at the occasion Shri AnantKumar Hegde, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said, “We are elated to see the endeavors being made by organizations like Vishwakarma University and NITTTR to further the vision and mission of Skill India. We jointly need to identify, design, develop and deploy innovative training and educational programs that cater to the needs of the industrial sector. The Skill India Mission is a great example of public and private partnership. I would like the two organizations to focus on output based quality conscious roadmap to make skill training effective and aspirational for the youth.”
Mr. Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor, SVSU, said “To achieve the skill and employment is to have basic infrastructure including trained trainers and NSQF aligned and updated curriculum. Through this agreement with NITTTR we look forward to establishing a long-term partnership, based upon areas of mutual interest, and contributing to the creation of innovative training and educational programmes that prepare talented youth of our country for a wide variety of positions across sectors. Our university’s objective is to contribute to maintain the quality in vocational education in terms of curriculum pedagogy and trainers. We also aim to extend this to the MOOCs technology to make it available to the larger youth.”

Shri Vishwakarma Skill University is a State university established under Act 25 of 2016. In Gurugram of Haryana State. The objective to establish this skill University is to facilitate and promote skill, entrepreneurship development, skill based education and research in the emerging areas of manufacturing, information technology, textile, design, logistics and transportation, automation, agriculture, maintenance, etc. and to raise skill level in various fields related to these areas. The University has vision to become an internationally recognized skilling Institution that enhances student employability and earning the ability.
