India: The Wadhwani Foundation is making significant progress towards its skilling mission by forming new partnerships with state governments and enhancing its AI-powered training tools. June and July 2025 were pivotal months for the foundation’s mission, marked by strategic partnerships, and impactful initiatives. The recent initiatives led to milestones that have brought thousands of students closer to be a job-ready workforce for the future.

Over 1 Lakh Students. 300+ Colleges. Skilling in Action in Uttarakhand

The Wadhwani Foundation partnered with the Government of Uttarakhand and Setu Aayog to bring AI-powered personality development and employability skills to over 1 lakh students across the state.

As part of the broader statewide effort to enhance digital talent and 21st-century skills, this initiative represents a significant step toward a future-ready workforce.

Transforming India’s ITIs with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) to build future-ready workforce

The foundation signed a key MoU with the Directorate General of Training (DGT), MSDE, to transform skilling in ITIs and NSTIs across India. The collaboration is bringing AI-powered mentorship, employability training, and digital tools to learners and instructors, preparing them for a rapidly evolving job market.  

AI Career Tools for 400+ Colleges in Karnataka 

The Wadhwani Foundation demonstrated its AI-powered career and placement tools to the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education in Karnataka. a The initiative aims to benefit students across more than 400 government first-grade colleges, providing them with guided pathways to jobs and career success.

Skilling the Youth of Sikkim for a Brighter Future 

In July, the Foundation signed an MoU with the Skill Development Department, Government of Sikkim, to provide essential employability skills for youth through the Directorate of Craftsmanship Training Scheme & Employment. This partnership is unlocking new career opportunities for the region’s youth! 

When Vision Meets Reality: Institute of Professional Banking 

To further strengthen industry-ready learning, the Foundation partnered with the Institute of Professional Banking (IPB). This collaboration brings AI-powered modules and real-world employability skills to banking aspirants, combining personalised learning with faculty support to produce unstoppable graduates prepared for dynamic roles in the financial services sector.

Empowering Students at Rajiv Gandhi University, Andhra Pradesh 

At Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Andhra Pradesh, the Foundation signed an MoU to help bridge academia and industry for better job outcomes. As part of three strategic pacts, Wadhwani Foundation’s AI-powered learning platforms and trained faculty mentors will support the development of students’ employability across four campuses. The initiative complements RGUKT’s efforts with Ceremorphic Inc. and the Sadisha Foundation to offer technical training and empower female students in higher education. 

With every new partnership and rollout, the Wadhwani Foundation reaffirms its commitment to building practical, AI-driven pathways to jobs and entrepreneurship for India’s next-generation workforce.
