BOAT, DTE in collaboration with Sahyadri organized Apprenticeship Fair

Mangaluru : Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai and Directorate of Technical Education, Bengaluru in collaboration with Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management on July 26 organized an Apprenticeship Fair.

The fair was held for Engineering Graduates/Diploma/General Graduates at the campus which saw the participation of around 400 students.

V S Pandey asst director in charge – BOAT, Dileep from Directorate of Technical Education, Bengaluru, S Rajendra, GM-HR KIOCL Limited were the guests for the inaugural ceremony along with Manjunath Bhandary, chairman. Dr R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, principal extended a warm welcome to the gathering.

Manjunath Bhandary, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai and Directorate of Technical Education, Bengaluru, for providing opportunities to the young graduates. He urged the students to grab this opportunity and enhance their skills and practical approach in building a solid foundation for their career. He emphasized that the training will provide the students a platform to measure their passion and capability in their field of choice.

V N Pandey gave a brief insight into the Board of Apprenticeship Training. He said that the training should be considered as a learning period and not earning period. He brought out the benefits of apprenticeship training which include skill development, bridging gap between theory and practice, platform to enter corporate houses. He appreciated the enthusiasm and commitment of Sahyadri management and also placement officer in hosting the event and thanked the management.

Rajendra, GM – HR, spoke about the various opportunities provided at their organization and their growth. Prof Rashmi Bhandary, dean placement, delivered the vote of thanks.
