Agra : Agra city is governed by Municipal Corporation which comes under Agra Metropolitan Region. The Agra city is located in Uttar Pradesh state of India. As per provisional reports of Census India, population of Agra in 2011 is 1,585,704; of which male and female are 845,902 and 739,802 respectively. Although Agra city has population of 1,585,704; its urban / metropolitan population is 1,760,285 of which 939,875 are males and 820,410 are females.
Project Brief
The Women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) across the targeted project area in Agra are proposed to be linked to the Skills Development Programme. These groups need to get good micro skill training to get their livelihood resources. It would hence be proper to link the skill development program. To establish the linkages, micro skill centers are proposed for imparting training related to local art such as in-lay, sculpting, flower art and zardozi work in order to improve livelihood of local residents. With this objective; a sustainable livelihood project that promotes traditional skills like zardosi work and stone inlay, have been proposed under this project. The project involves development of 4 micro-skill development centers to impart traditional skills; zardosi embroidery and stone inlay to residents. This four-community center will give training to the local art forms training and help community develop their local business by digital equipment with awareness programme and different type of workshop. In these community centers women’s self-helping group activities, awareness programme and other workshops will be arranging for the better community development. Total Project Cost is Rs.1,70,25,000/- (one crore sixty-two lacs eight thousand seventy-eight).
Objective of Project

The Agra Smart City Ltd. (hereinafter called “Employer”) is inviting proposals to undertake various field activities for establishing micro skill development center and women Self Help Groups centers in 4 available community centers in Taj Ganj area for Agra under smart city mission for the ABD area. Read Scope of Work below for expectations from the selected NGO.
Refer Terms of Reference in this RFP document and qualification requirement is at Instructions to Bidders. A NGO will be selected under “Quality and Cost Based System (QCBS)” and procedures described in this RFP.
Scope of Work
Agency will support micro skill initiatives to form a platform for the women group of the society. These initiatives may comprise skill development trainings to SHGs, establishing micro skill centers, product development, value chain analysis, linkage and other concern activities. NGO at all levels should effectively participate in sharing with all stakeholder’s experience and knowledge about successful strategies, obstacles and how to overcome them.
The selected NGO shall undertake the below activities, but not limited to, in a time-bound manner to achieve the objectives of the proposed project.
