The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand, invites proposals for conducting Geriatric Caregivers Skill Training under the State Action Plan (SAP) for the welfare of senior citizens as part of the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY). RFP Bids are invited online under two-bid system from the program implementing agencies/ training institutions having previous experience in the field of elderly care for conducting training program on geriatric caregiving.
The training aims to bridge the gap in supply and increasing demand in the field of geriatric caregivers. All Training Partners are requested to kindly go through different provisions of the Scheme Guidelines before applying.
The Department is contemplating to onboard competent and desirous Training Institutes having sufficient academic and physical infrastructure, with good track record of performance for FY 2025-26. Accordingly, the Department invites Request for Proposals (RFP) from Training Partners (TPs) for impar ng training for Geriatric Caregivers Training for the financial year 2025-26/2026-27.
Scope of Work:
- The agency has to provide training and capacity building program for creating a pool of professional geriatric caregivers with the required standards and curriculum prescribed by NISD (National Institute of Social Defence), MoSJE, Govt of India for a 3-month geriatric care training.
- The training partner must be mandatorily empanelled with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) or the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
- Kind attention is invited for the 3-month Geriatric Caregivers Training of 480 hours compulsorily including On the Job Training (OJT).
- In case of a Government Training Institute, a self-certified statement indicating that the training institute is a government training institution and the documentary proof thereof indicating explicitly that your institution is a government training institute along with all other relevant documents as mentioned in this RFP notification.
- The training proposals must comply with the budget cost norms prescribed by the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD).
- Batch size will be determined on the basis of per unit cost of the trainee and the availability of the budget from Government of India.
- The training should be residential in Uttarakhand, with provisions for boarding, lodging, meals, and transportation.
- The onboarding of the training partner for the geriatric caregiver training will also be carried forward for the next financial year, subject to the availability of funds from Government of India.
