Applications Invited by Mercedes Benz guided Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre (AMRC) for ADAM program

The Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, in its endeavor to provide skilled technical manpower suited to various needs of industry, imparts technical education and technological skill through various courses at different levels. Full-time degree/ diploma courses in Engineering /Technology / Pharmacy, Occupational and Secretarial / Management based disciplines are offered at different Government Institutions, Government aided Institutions & Privately managed Institutes.
G B Pant Institute of Technology, under the aegis of Department of Training & Technical Education, is offering admission for Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM).

Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre (AMRC), is a world class infrastructure, guided by Mercedes Benz India Limited (MBIL), Pune and has been developed at GBPIT, Delhi. Fully air-conditioned Classrooms, Car bay, Engine W/S, Transmission W/S, E- W/S and Telemetric & Microcontroller W/S are equipped with sophisticated digital instruments, IT / Computers diagnostic packages etc. The facility provides a comparable ambience to that of MBIL in-house facility. The entire facility is air-conditioned for smooth functionality of IT / Computers & Electronic gadgets in a dust-free temperature controlled environment and to achieve laboratory test results in European standards.

The highly specialized ADAM course will contain Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics / Embedded system, Vehicle Systems and Soft Skills modules. The training will be imparted in the areas of Electrical & Electronics Technology, Advanced Automobile Systems / Engineering and its diagnosis, practical hands on experience on Mercedes Benz Car, MBIL Factory visit (optional), etc. The methodology will be self-reliant learning and team concept as being practiced successfully in MBIL.

The intention of this collaborative course is to produce skilled automotive professionals conversant with latest automotive technology. ADAM is practical oriented course where learner is expected to have hands-on learning on the car, engines, transmission / gear box and other automotive components.
The ADAM Course shall be conducted in English language.

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility of the candidates for seeking admission in ADAM is (i) a pass in 3 years diploma (or 2 years for lateral entry / direct second year) in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Electronics or equivalent.
(ii) a pass in Engineering Degree (B. Tech / BE ) in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Electronics or equivalent.
(iii) those appeared for qualifying examination (B. Tech / BE / Diploma) in 2019, without live back papers, are also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be subjected to submission of proof of having acquired minimum qualification at the time of counselling.

Placement

G.B. Pant Institute of Technology has a well established Training and Placement Cell, which is headed by Training and Placement Officer. The Training and Placement Officer co-ordinates with the various Industries and arrange for campus interviews for all the branches. Most of the students with minimum 60% marks without backlog get placement even before the declaration of the final results. The Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Delhi also conducts Job Fairs every year.

 ADAM Admission Entrance Examination (AAEE)

Admission to ADAM course will be through All India ADAM Admission Entrance Examination (A A E E). G B Pant Institute of Technology shall be functioning as nodal agency as well as the main examination centre for conducting All India ADAM Admission Entrance Examination (A A E E). The AAE Examination is to be held in Delhi. However, examination centres other than Delhi may be considered, if required. The same will be made available on http://www.gbpit-amrc.ac.in web portal.

Examination Fee:
Examination fee for AAEE is Rs 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) for General, OBC & sponsored candidates and Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty Only) for SC/ST applicants. The examination fee is US $10 for other than Indian nationals.
The examination fee is to be paid online to Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre- AMRC account number: 37652460699 IFSC: SBIN0000727. The banking charges, as applicable, to be borne by the candidate. The online fee once paid or multiple payments made will not be refunded (full or partial), under any circumstances. The last date for payment of examination fee online to AMRC account is 23-06-2019.

Scholarship

Mercedes-Benz India offers scholarship to one female candidate and two economically backward candidates who secure admission to the course fulfilling eligibility criteria and other conditions laid down by MBIL. This year, it is under consideration by Mercedes-Benz India to offer Scholarship to All female candidates securing admission to ADAM course. The Scholarship amount per student shall be Rs. 1, 50,000/-.

AAEE Application Form

• Candidates are advised to read information bulletin carefully (Click Here to Download) and acquaint themselves with all requirements before filling up application form (Click Here to Download Form).
• The application form can be downloaded from http://www.gbpit-amrc.ac.in from 15-05-2019.
• No column in the application form should be left blank. If any column is not applicable, write N.A. in the respective column. Application form should be clearly, legibly filled with black ball point pen or neatly typed. The signature of the candidate should be made with BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY.
• Candidates have to send a single clear PDF file, containing duly filled in & signed application form along with proof of examination fee paid (online) & any one of the valid Photo Id proof (issued by Government of India viz. Passport, PAN card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, EPIC / voter identity card), Before revised  LAST / CLOSING DATE (23-06-2019 ) OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORM to the e-mail ID aaee@gbpit-amrc.ac.in However, note that the last date for payment of examination fee online is 23-06-2019.

Submission of Application Form

a. Pay examination fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for General & OBC candidates including sponsored candidates and Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty Only) for SC/ST applicants, online to Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre- AMRC account number: 37652460699 IFSC : SBIN0000727. Take print out of the ‘details of transaction / fee submission’ or save the transaction details. Note down the transaction identity or reference number of transaction ( to be filled at column No.4 “FEE DETAILS” in the application form)
b. Fill all particulars (front and back side) in the application form and put full signature.
c. Keep ready any one of the valid Photo Id proof issued by Government of India viz. Passport, PAN card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, EPIC / voter identity card
d. Scan all the three documents ( as detailed in steps a, b, c i.e. duly filled in application form, proof of examination fee paid & valid Photo Id proof issued by Govt. of India). The image is to be very clear and legible as it will be used
for processing the application form for examination and for securing admission.
e. Create a SINGLE Portable Document Format (PDF) file with all the three documents
f. Rename the file with candidates name and date of birth ( e. g: If candidate’s name is H.Sahana and date of birth is 18-02-1996, then PDF file name is to be ‘hsahana18021996’)
g. Login to your e-mail ID (you have to use the same e-mail ID which you have mentioned / written at Column No. 1. ( k ) in the application form )
h. Attach the Portable Document Format (PDF) file created and in Subject write Application Form for AAEE -2019
i. Send the e-mail to aaee@gbpit-amrc.ac.in before closing date of receipt of application form i. e 23-06-2019. Please note that the last date for online payment of examination fee is 23-06-2019.
j. Any other mode, including offline mode i. e Application forms sent by post / courier / by hand / special messenger, will NOT BE ACCEPTED.
NOTE : (1) All the three scanned documents viz, duly filled application form, proof of fee paid (online) & Government of India issued identity proof are to be sent as a ‘single file’ in Portable Document Format ( in PDF ) to the AAEE ID aaee@gbpit-amrc.ac.in
(2) Ensure your e-mail ID is active at least till completion of admission process.
