Ludhiana Administration started special drive for skill development training enrollment

Ludhiana : Unskilled youth will be given free training in order to make them eligible for various employment opportunities. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pardeep Aggarwal said, “Under this special drive training will be given free and efforts will be made to provide jobs to youths.”

The registration for the drive, which has been started, was done through SMS.

Giving information, the DC said, “The initiative of the administration is to help unemployed youth. There is a general thinking among the people that the administration will be charging fee. They will not have to pay anything and the training will be provided free of cost to youths.”

“Jobs will also be offered to trainees, who complete their training. If they are employed in the urban sector then their approximate annual income will be around Rs 3 lakh. In the rural sector their annual income will be Rs 2.5 lakh. The minimum educational qualification for those interested in training is fifth standard,” added the DC.
