Hyderabad : Tirupati-based Amara Raja Group expects its turnover to double over the next four years to touch Rs 12,000 crore, said Amara Raja Group founder and chairman Ramachandra N Galla.
“Amara Raja Group’s turnover is expected to double by 2019-20 at approximately Rs 12,000 crore. To sustain the growth trajectory and achieve ambitious objectives, we are in advanced discussions for strategic partnership ventures in some of the businesses of the group,” Galla said.
He was speaking at the convocation ceremony of the group’s Amara Raja Skill Development Centre at Pettamitta, Tirupati. The group had launched the centre in 2014 at an investment of over Rs 30 crore. The first batch of 101 students from this centre were awarded ‘Multi-Skill Technician’ certificates at the convocation.
Amara Raja Group also announced its plans to establish skill development centres at Diguvamagham and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Galla also announced the completion of a 1.2MW rooftop solar unit at its plant located at Nunegundlapalli village near Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the company, this project, spread over 1 lakh sft, is the largest single contiguous rooftop project in India and the project was executed by Amara Raja Power Systems Ltd on the battery plant of Amara Raja Batteries Ltd. The installation on a single industrial rooftop will generate more than 5000 units per day.
