Yanamala Foundation – TCS to organize free skill training for rural youth in East Godavari

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) : Free skill development training would be organized for rural youth at the Skill Development Training Cente,Tuni, in East Godavari district during May, said Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. Mr. Ramakrishnudu told the media at Thimmapuram camp office near Kakinada on Thursday that the proposed skill development training would be organized by Yanamala Foundation with the support of Tata Consultancy Services.

He said the Yanamala Foundation was formed to do social service to the poor and needy and train rural youth for employment generation.

One such skill development centre was established during December at the Government Degree College, Tuni, which provides training in computer data entry skills, AC mechanic and security guards training.

980 candidates selected

He said that job melas had been organized at Tuni with the support of Vikasa organisation in which 60 companies participated and 980 candidates were selected during the last two years.

In the past 11 months, 335 candidates, including 284 boys and 51 girls, were selected in melas organized at Tuni.

Companies like HGS, Airtel, Miracle Software Solutions, ICICI Bank, BSCPL, Cognizant, Sub Way, Wipro Infra, Apollo Pharmacy, Big Bazaar, Filpcart, Ureka Forbes were among the 33 participants. One such summer training camp was planned at A.V. Nagaram in Thondangi mandal. More training and job melas would be held by the Foundation with the support of Vikasa organisation, Mr. Ramakrishnudu said.
