Palwal : The Construction Skill Academy of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Manohar lal on 13th January at Dhudhola Campus. Sh. Krishan Pal MoS Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI, Shri Vipul Goel, Minister SDIT, ShTek Chand Sharma, MLA Prithala and other dignitaries participated in this event.
The day started with Havan, Pooja and traditional welcome of the dignitaries. Ceremonial opening by ribbon cutting and unveiling of CSA was done by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana. The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, GOI ShKrishan Pal and ShVipulGoel Cabinet Minister Skill Development and Industries, Haryana graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.
The formal programme started with Lamp Lightening and Saraswati Vandana. Formal facilitation of the dignitaries was done by giving Momentos, Angvastras and Pagadhi Bandhan by gram panchayat and other dignitaries
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SVSU Shri Raj Nehru welcomed the Chief Guest Sh Manohar lal Hon’ble Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
MoUs were also exchanged between SVSU and various Industries and academia partners for various collaborative activities in the area of skilling. The Hero Motocorp, SKH Metals Pvt. Ltd., Ambience Facilities Management Pvt. Ltd., Bahadurgarh Footwear Development Institute, Videoken Software Pvt. Ltd. to name a few.
To promote heritage and non conventional areas of Skilling MoUs for ShardaLipi and Sanskrit Language is also done MIEF and Maharshi Valmiki Sanskrit Vishwvidalyarespectively. The university has already launched certificate and diploma courses in Banchari Folk arts, Ethnic foods and German Language in this direction.
Speaking on the occasion Sh Manohar lal praised the efforts of Raj Nehru for multidimensional growth of skilling arena in the state. He said that Shri Vishwakarma Skill University is the first of its own kind in the country to set an example of setting a Construction Skills Academy in its initial stage of the construction phase. 250 to 500 youth will be trained annually in this Skill Academy. At first phase a batch of 60 workers will be trained for Mason and Bar bending courses. The students will be trained in IT Skills in addition.
The Government of Haryana established Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), at village Dudhola, district Palwal, Haryana. The SVSU, first of its kind amongst State universities, is aimed at providing structured skill qualification programmes to meet the existing and emerging job demands of the industry. These programmes will be aligned to Qualification Packs/ National Occupational Standards and National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) to facilitate progression of trainees from Certificate to Doctoral level. SVSU endeavors to build a strong partnership with the industry to facilitate student employability and self-employability.
Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, GOIshared the importance of skill education in coming future. He added that adding Skill to Education can bring real solutions to the problems of unemployment and poverty. He acknowledged the dynamic working style of vice chancellor and university team.
Sh. VipulGoel, Skill Development & Industrial Training, Industries & Commerce, and Environment Minister addressing the event thanked the Hon’ble CM for trend-setting step in Skill Education by establishing the Shri Vishwakarma Skill University. He further added that with the dynamic approach of Raj Nehru the State has secured third position in Skilling at National level and he is hopeful that this university will bring remarkable growth to the district Palwal.
Raj Nehru, Vice Chancellor in his welcome address expressed the gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister for taking the initiative to establish the first government Skill University in the country. He briefed about the journey of skill university from 60 students to 350 plus students in regular courses, training of almost 1000 students in short term courses, skill school to Ph.D in skills and from one room to stating of first phase of Campus Building. He assured that with the support of department this university will become the best university of Skill Education not only in India but in Asia. Sharing about CSA he said the objective of the Academy is to provide certified skilling to the labour for their overall growth and better opportunities.
ShDevender Singh IAS, ACS SDIT in his address assured the support of the department for the development of the skill university.
Surender Singh SarpanchDhudhola thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister, State government and Raj Nehru and said that this university will bring immense opportunities of growth to the Dhudhola and vicinity.
A Small Skit on Skill Education by SVSU students was also performed which made the event more remarkable and engaging.
On one hand, the university has expanded from the school level to the PhD in the field of skill education, on the other hand it has also accelerated its construction work. It will be constructed in 82.7 acres in three phases at the cost of approximately 1000 crores. The first phase construction work has started. In this, 21932 square meters will be constructed at a cost of 425 crore, in which includes Academic Block and Administrative Block.
In the first phase, 4000 thousand students will be provided training in 78 different courses. In the final phase of the university, 12000 students will be provided training in 157 courses.
The university campus will be equipped with eco-friendly and state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to the Indian traditions, there will be confluence of international standards.
Following MoUs were exchanged on the event by SVSU:
MoU was exchanged with Hero Moto Corp. SVSU has signed one more MoU with Hero MotoCorp to work in the area of skill development for QP based short term programmes which will train the students in the trades of welding, Machining, Vehicle Assembly, Auto Mechanic etc. to enhance their employability.ThisMoU were exchanged by plant head of Dharuhera&Neemrana plant of Hero MotoCorp Shri Ravi Pisipaty along with Mr. M.M. Singh (GM T&D).
Second MoU was signed with SKH Metals Pvt Ltd. This MoU with SVSU is being signed to work in the area of skill development for running B.Voc/ Diploma programmes in auto component manufacturing. Also, SKH Metals have deployed one fully equipped mobile medical facility with a doctor and medicine and this mobile medical van will visit Dudhola village once in a week on pre designed days to serve the people of this village. his MoU will be exchanged by Shri ParveshSoni, Director & CEO of SKH Metals along with Mr. Naresh Raina (Plant Head) and Mr. Vijay Yadav (IR Head).
Another MoU was exchanged with Ambience Facilities Management Private limited. SVSU signed this MoU Ambience Facilities Management Private limited in the area of skill development for running Graduate /Diploma programmes in facility management. This MoU will be exchanged by Vice President operation of Ambiance mall Shri Vijay Aima.
One More MoU was exchanged with Bahadurgarh Footwear Development Institute (BFDI) for conceptualizing the programme in three B.Voc Programme
- B Voc in Footwear Design and Production
- B Voc in Footwear Management
- B Voc in Knitting Business
This MoU will be exchanged by Shri Mr. SubhashChaddha and Mr. Panna lalVaid.
Another MoU was exchanged with VideoKen Software Private Limited. SVSU and VideoKen Software Private Limited has to sign a MoU for the utilization of Videoken digital platform as a pilot on pro-bono-base. This MoU will be exchanged by Sh. Sanjiv Jain.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Reetu, Registrar SVSU. SmtSimaTikha MLA with other dignitaries grace the occasion. ShManiram IAS DC, ShVashisht IPS SP , Prof R S Rathore Dean Academics, Chanchal Bhardwaj Controller of Examination, Col UtkarshRathore JD, Dr Raj Singh Antil, Simi Somasundran DD, Dr Sanjay Bhardwaj DD along with other staff members of SVSU and dignitaries from the vicinity were present on the occasion.
About CSA
Shri Vishwakarma Skill University is the first of its own kind in the country to set an example of setting a Construction Skills Academy in its initial stage of the construction phase. 250 to 500 youth will be trained annually in this Skill Academy. At first phase a batch of 60 workers will be trained for Mason and Bar bending courses. The students will be trained in IT Skills in addition.
The CSA will be one of its own kind of training opportunity for the aspirants those who want to peruse their career in construction area. This would be like a lab providing hands on experience to the youth especially in the nearby villages. It will support the local construction labour to get certified for better placement opportunities.
The academy will provide the hands on experience on latest technology to train the students to match international standards.
IrconISL under its Corporate Social Responsibility CSR has offered training for Mason and Bar bending trades at CSA. Two of its Executive Agencies Krishna Builders & JPG Construction has offered jobs to 10 students- Satya Prakash, Devender, Lalit, Sahib Singh, Jay Lal, Niranjan, Birbal, Jaswant, Premjeet and Neeraj from Palwal district.
