Realizing this need of the hour, Amara Raja, one of the India’s Leading Battery Manufacturer has started a Skill Development Centre – ‘Amara Raja Skill Development Centre (ARSDC)’. This Centre runs under the aegis of Rajanna Trust, which is fully supported by Amara Raja Group.
Objectives of ARSDC
- To provide systematic Technical & Non-Technical Training to matriculated youth from the rural India and to help them inculcate both life and job skills.
- To minimize the talent gap in the society by providing training in accordance with the ever changing business/work environment in the industrial and allied sectors.
Nature of the Course & Specialty
Course is FREE for both Boys and Girls. It’s a residential program for first 3 months and focuses on Skill Development, Personality Development and enhancing Employability followed by 21 months of On-the-Job-Training. Unique features are
- Practical oriented Training methodology – 70 % Practical and 30 % Theory.
- Stipend will be paid from first month onwards during the Training program.
- Latest infra-structure, Well equipped Class Rooms, Labs & Workshops.
- Training Program is free for first 3 months including food and Accommodation, Safety shoes, Uniforms, Study materials. Students will get Stipend money of 7,500 per month.
- On-the-Job-Training for next 21 months with subsidised food and accommodation subject to availability. Students will also get increase in Stipend Money (9,733-10,133)
- Excellent Hostel for both Boys and Girls.

OJT (On the Job Training)
Students undergo special training at Industry during 2nd phase for 9 months and 3rd phase for 12 months to learn live skills from the Industry, to increase their capability of working on machine and to enhance their skills in analyzing each and every process. During OJT period students will get stipend of 9,733-10133 per month.
At the time of OJT, students will be provided free uniform, safety shoes, food, and accommodation and Transportation facility on concessional rate.
OJT students will get an opportunity to learn additional skills like 5S, Safety rules to be followed at Industry, Quality Concepts and it will be an added advantage to the students to learn from the industry specialist.
While the students undergo “On the Job Training”, ARSDC staff will be assessing the student’s discipline, attitude, learning ability and performance at respective work places about their initiatives at Industry. Every month, HR Executives will be sending the Assessment forms about the performance of students at Industry
