The Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) that works under the Ministry of Defense, has issued job notification for the post of Trade Apprentice. The OFB recruitment 2020 invites application for the 56th Trade Apprentice recruitment and the total number of vacancies in this job notification in 6,060. Both ITI and non-ITI applicants can apply for the post notified in OFB Recruitment 2020.
The official notification reads, “Online applications are invited from Indian citizens for engagement of 56th Batch (for Non-ITI & ITI candidates) of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 and amendments thereof in Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different States across India. The number of vacancies is approx. 6060 including 3847 ITI and 2219 Non-ITI, as part of OFB’s Skill India Mission.”

Essential Qualification
For Non-ITI category, an applicant should have Passed Madhyamik (class X std or equivalent) as on date of notification for applying with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate and with 40 per cent marks in Mathematics and Science each.
For ITI category, an applicant should have passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 plus passed Madhyamik / Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks both in Matriculate / Class X std and ITI). The relevant trade to be considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule I of Apprentice Act 1961 (and amendments thereof).
Age Limit
An applicant should be between 15 to 24 years as on 9th February 2020. In the case of SC/ST applicant, 5 years relaxation would be given in the upper age limit while for an OBC applicant, upper age relaxation is 3 years. For Physically Handicapped (PH) / Physically Challenged (PC) or Differently Abled Candidates additional ten years upper age relaxation would be given depending upon the category of the candidate.
If an applicant is an ITI candidate, the Upper age limit is further relaxed by the period of training already undergone as per the normal duration of NCVT/SCVT, in the relevant trade.

No other format of an application shall be entertained. Candidates are required to read the instructions indicated in the advertisement thoroughly before submitting their application. fro further details, interested applicants should log in at ofb.gov.in.
Ordnance Factory Board has released a short notification for the engagement of Trade Apprentices post in the factory across India. Interested candidates can submit applications only in online mode. The online application portal for OFB Recruitment 2020 is likely to open from 10th Jan 2020.
