Bhubaneswar: A two-day national conference on skill development will be organized in Bhubaneswar on Friday and Saturday. Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh is scheduled to inaugurate the event.
Experts from IIT Ahmadabad and Indore, Chennai-based Anna University, National Petroleum University, Raibareli and National Fashion Technology, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar will attend the conference.
The conference will focus on co-ordination of all skill development efforts across the country, removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, building of new skills, and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created.
Experts from various fields will participate the two-day event and share their views to strengthen the skill development initiatives.
The conference will also focus on proper collaborations with relevant Central Ministries, State Governments, international organizations, industry and NGOs thereby facilitating multi-level engagement and more impactful implementation of skill development efforts. Later, a detailed report will be submitted to the Union Government.
