Jabalpur to have PM’s skill development centre: Minister Rudy

Jabalpur (MP) : Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy declared that soon Jabalpur would have an international repute Driving Training Institute as well as a Prime Minister Skill Development Centre.

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Rajiv Pratap Rudy declared that soon Jabalpur would have an international repute Driving Training Institute as well as a Prime Minister Skill Development Centre. He said that with commissioning of both centre the development of human resources for entry-level jobs would be commenced at war footings and that would a beneficial step for employment generation in Central India.

Rudy added that for the first time a separate Ministry for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has been established in country. On the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the work has been started focusing development of makers in India to make the multi dimensional initiatives of Government of India like Make In India programme a success.

He added that in present condition following lack of skilled human resources there is huge demand in industry especially for entry-level jobs. He said that Government has initiated various programmes for skill development covering different department schemes and works. Around 30,000 crore budget has been given to create positive atmosphere amongst youths towards learning of skills other than their conventional education. For this infrastructure is being crated across the country through National Council For Vocational Training, etc.

He also informed that establishment of Driving Training Centre an international level facility of driver training would be developed with training on operation of heavy vehicles. He said in driving sector around 28 people are in demand across the country. Only OLA Cab has requirement of above 1 lakh drivers.
