Odisha State Government constituted a committee on Skill Development in Health & Allied Services

Bhubaneswar : The State Government has constituted a committee to take stock of the infrastructure available both in the Government and private sectors to impart skill development training in health and allied services.

The committee comprising joint director of Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) VK Satpathy, joint director (nursing) SK Sahu and additional director of Directorate of Employment Asit Pradhan would submit a report by August 23.

They would visit various training institutes and hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack under the Health and Family Welfare Department and private sector hospitals besides other infrastructure available for imparting skill development training in health and allied sectors.

The committee will assess the feasibility of location-wise courses, specific capacity of training along with residential accommodation available. It will also indicate the possibility of hands-on training available to trainees in hospitals in the locality.
