Punjab Government to launch campaign for youth awareness on skill development : Channi

Chandigarh :  Punjab Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that an extensive campaign would be waged to make the youth aware about Ghar Ghar Rozgar Scheme being run by Chief
Minister Capt Amarinder Singh led state government besides the importance of skill development.

Stating this here on Thursday on the occasion of flagging off the four vans to popularize various skill development initiatives of the state government, Mr Channi said that these vans have been flagged off under the DDUGKY, PMKVY-2 and NULM scheme with the active assistance of the Shiv Educational Society. These  would guide the youth of rural areas about various schemes about skill development besides helping them to get registered for the skill development initiatives.

He also said that the Punjab government would also undertake help from the various media platforms such as TV,
Print, Radio, Social Media and the Outdoor Media. Apart from this, Skill  Development Centres and various NGOs must also take the lead in educating youth about schemes being run by the state government under the Skill Development Mission to ensure that the youth are able to land job avenues.

On the occasion, Mr Channi honoured two youth – Shubham Singh and Himanshu Vohra, who partricipated in the World Skill-2019 programme held in Kazan, Russia. Shubham participated in Cyber Security Skill and Himanshu in the Plumbing and Heating Skill.
