DDUGKY-TSSCDC and local Police to organize skill development camps across Gadwal

Jogulamba Gadwal : In a boost for unemployed youth from rural areas, Jogulamba Gadwal Police, Telangana State Scheduled Castes Development Corporation, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDUGKY) and Apollo Med-skills Limited have come together to conduct skill development training camps across the district.

The camps will also offer free food and accommodation to trainees, according to the office of District Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari. Youth from SC, ST, BC and minority communities, who may have completed their SSC, Inter and degree but couldn’t continue to learn a specialized skill due to financial reasons are eligible to register for the training.

Specialized skill training for 3 months for General Duty Assistants (with SSC qualification), Home Health Aide – 3 months (SSC), Dental Assistant – 3 months (SSC), Emergency Medical Technician – 3 months (SSC and Intermediate), Phlebotomy Technician – 3 months (SSC and Intermediate), General Duty Assistant (GDA) and Home Health Aide – 6 months (SSC), Home Health Aide and Phlebotomy Technician – 6 months (SSC and Inter), Pharmacy Assistant and Medical Records Technician – 6 months (SSC and Inter), Radiographer and Phlebotomy Technician – 6 months (SSC and Inter), Pharmacy Assistant and Diabetes Educator – 6 months (SSC and Inter), Hospital Operations and Processing Executive – 6 months (any degree), Advanced Certificate Course in Dialysis Technician – 12 months (SSC and Intermediate with Science background), Operation Theater Technician – 12 months (SSC and Intermediate with science background) and Cardiology Technician – 12 months (SSC and Intermediate with Science background) is being provided to unemployed youth.

To encourage nursing practitioners belonging to SC community who may have completed their ANM, GNM and BSc Nursing programmes, Apollo Hospitals are providing training – 3 months for ANMs, 6 months for GNMs and 12 months for BSc Nursing. The hospitals will hire the trainees as employees after the course. For practitioners with BSc in Nursing qualification who wish to go abroad, along with free training, their flight ticket costs will be taken care of.

Those interest in the training programmes have been asked to take their caste, income and original educational certificates to the skill development training and placement registration camp being organized at District Indoor Stadium in Chintalapeta, Gadwal town, at 9 am on December 31.
