Important Notice: Halt on PMKVY 4.0 Batch Creation

As per the directive received from The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), NSDC made an announcement a notice dated 05 April 2025. The notice states that all Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) operating under PMKVY 4.0 are hereby informed that no new batch shall be created or initiated beyond 28th March 2025. No new batches shall be created, and no new training shall be initiated post 28th March 2025. This is issued with the approval of competent authority.

Accordingly, all training activities must be concluded, and no fresh enrollments or batch formations should take place after the mentioned date.

PMKVY

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship skill development initiative of the Government of India, launched in 2015 under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The scheme is implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and is aimed at enabling Indian youth to acquire industry-relevant skills that will enhance their employability and contribute to the country’s economic growth.

Objectives:

  • To provide quality skill training to youth across the country.
  • To increase the productivity of the workforce through skill certification.
  • To encourage standardization in the certification process and create a registry of skilled workers.
  • To bridge the gap between the demand and supply of skilled manpower in various sectors.
