Chennai : L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS), a leading global pure play engineering Services Company, announced that it has been conferred with the prestigious NASSCOM Digital Skills Award for 2017. The industry body through this award gave a formal recognition to LTTS’ continued success in aligning its offerings with the rising customer demand for Digital Engineering.
In a landscape where technology adoption is precipitating an acute skill gap in the workforce, the NASSCOM Digital Skill Award was instituted as a platform to enable technology firms to showcase their digital skills pipeline.
Considering the influence digital technology now has on businesses, jobs, people and the world economy, the requisite to build digital capabilities among the existing and future workforce is indispensable. Taking cognizance of the emerging skill deficit facing governments, educational institutions and global businesses, the company’s new labs and centers across Bangalore, Vadodara, Mysore, Chennai and Mumbai are equipped with state of the art technology that will empower the youth to meet the demands of Fourth Industrial Revolution and enable employees to develop deeper expertise and specialist engineering skills.
A number of technology firms today are now getting on board with this reorientation either by utilizing their in-house capabilities or by collaborating with ecosystem partners and this recognition from NASSCOM validates the proactive initiatives that were taken by LTTS in the area of digital skills training for a future-ready workforce.
