Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) intends to establish visible and aspirational Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) (hereinafter referred to as “Project”) in every district of India. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is the implementation agency for the Project.
The PMKK envisage to:
• Create benchmark institutions that demonstrate aspirational value for competency based skill development training
• Focus on elements of quality, sustainability and connect with stakeholders in skills delivery process
• Transform from a mandate driven footloose model to a sustainable institutional model
PMKK shall be set up in every district of India, to ensure the same, multiple proposal invitation rounds were envisaged. In round 1 of the proposal invitation process 262 districts have been allocated to the Training Agencies as per the selection process defined in the PMKK Guidelines. In round 2, proposals shall be invited for 362 districts.
NSDC intends to invite proposals for 362 districts & 55 parliamentary constituencies. The list of districts/ clusters and parliamentary constituencies available for this phase.
