Important Corrections in entry qualification of Craftman Training Scheme trades

New Delhi : With reference to committee meeting dated 3rd December 2019 held at DGT Headquarters in New Delhi, Directorate General of Training has decided to amend the entry criteria of certain trades under CTS Scheme. The trades for which need of Science and Mathematics studied at 10th standard is removed are

1. Agro Processing
2. Domestic Painter
3. Industrial Painter

The trades for which study of Mathematics and Science made compulsory at 10th standard are:

1. Electronics Mechanic
2. Mechanic Auto Body Repair
3. Mechanic Consumer Electronic Appliances
4. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician
5. Technician Power Electronic Systems

The changes in the entry qualification would be applicable for the students who will take admissions in ITIs from the session starting from August 2020 and onward. Accordingly, State / UTs Directorates / RDSDEs / Directors / HoDs / Principals of NSTIs dealing with Skill Development are requested to change entry qualification in their database and ensure that changed entry qualification shall be included in advertisement for admission.
