Training Session on Inclusive Practices for Assessors

Department for International Development (DFID) UK, in collaboration with Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) is organizing a series of Trainings on Inclusive Practices for Assessors. The focus of these trainings will be on orientation and sensitization of Assessors on disabilities and the innovative techniques to facilitate effective and smooth assessment of persons with disability.
Schedule:
Day 1 and Day 2: These days focus to assess trainees with a specific disability, within a workplace setting. This will enable the assessors to make reasonable adjustments and ensuring the persons with the disability is supported in a fair and inclusive way.
Day 3: Last day of the training focusses on assessment in practice. The training will deliver assessors the skills to conduct adapted assessments, adjusting communication and making sensitive considerations to resources resulting in a person centered and individualized approach across all assessment activity.
The 3 day training session is intended for Assessors conducting assessments for persons with disability.
Speakers:
The workshops will be conducted by National Star Foundation, a UK charitable foundation that delivers specialist residential education to young people with disabilities and specialist teacher education, disability awareness and health and social care training nationally and internationally.
