Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Post Graduation in Education domain
Experience: 4 – 6 years in Teacher Education

Skills required: 
— Excellent communication in Marathi & English (Both verbal & written)
— Comprehensive knowledge of current education scenario in the state, the successes and challenges
— Conviction for Child-centric education and understanding of its practices
— Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multiple line management environment.
— Ability to plan and think strategically.
— Excellent co-ordination and motivation skills.
— Demonstrable commitment to quality of education program.

Profile Overview: Education Specialist is a key position for providing technical expertise to the Education system in the district. Education Specialist in Teacher Capacity Building willing be working at cluster, block and district level for inputs on pedagogy, classroom processes and assessments.

Education Specialist in Teacher Capacity Building shall report to the Program Director & Head SFD, and work collaboratively with District & block education department, the block manager & program coordinators appointed by GPF in selected block of the district.

Roles and Responsibilities: 
— Develop processes that accelerate the transformation of the school at classroom, school and cluster level.
— Build capacities of GPF team to drive the school transformation process.
— Provide support to the government officials and teachers at the cluster, block and district level to promote alignment on an understanding of education and teaching-learning processes.
— Develop organizational knowledge base on implementation of child-centric pedagogy and implementation of Principles of Learning.
— Explore use of technology and other strategies for enhancing teacher motivation and learning.

The objective of the program in SFDs is to ensure 100% enrollment of children in school, regular attendance and attainment of prescribed learning achievement by 100% students.
