Position: Program Associate

Location: New Delhi

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferable.
Experience: 
— At least 3-4 years of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
— Prior experience organizing event logistics, including budget monitoring and vendor management, required.
— Familiarity with international educational exchange programming strongly preferred.

Skills required: — Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
— Attention to detail in collecting documentation, composing, and proofing materials.
— Demonstrated ability to process an often changing, workload with multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
— Proven ability to take initiative and identify proactive solutions.
— Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
— Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.
— Demonstrated multicultural sensitivity Interest in international exchanges and/or international experience.
— Fluency in English, written and oral.
— Proficiency with MS Office 2010 applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; internet software and social media platforms.

Position Overview: The Program Associate provides financial, program and administrative support for scholarship programs administered by IIE’s New Delhi office.  In particular, the Program Associate tracks associated budgets, coordinates travel and logistical arrangements for participants, and manages relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:  Essential functions are typically performed in an office setting with a low level of noise.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Roles and Responsibilities:
— Plan, organize, and coordinate India-based activities for program participants. This includes designing promotional content in collaboration with program stakeholders, developing event itineraries, making transportation arrangements/arrange accommodation for program stakeholders, managing registration processes, and administering on-site event logistics.
— Track budgets, process vendor payments and program expense reports.
— Identify and manage relationships with logistic providers, including transportation companies, hotels, printers etc.
— Correspond with program participants and other stakeholders, escalating non-routine issues as needed to program management.
— Maintain and update IIE/New Delhi website content/social media content.
— Perform secondary research and conduct online surveys, as required, on a case by case basis.
— Maintain program data within various IIE systems.
— Contribute written narratives and associated components for program reports.
— Responsible for complying with applicable contract and sponsor requirements and following all IIE policies and procedures.
— Performs other related duties and functions as assigned.

Remuneration: Compensation will be based on relevant experience and qualification.
