Islamabad :Â The government is spending three billion rupees on training the youth in various skills under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme.
According to official sources, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has been providing stipend of Rs 2,500 to every student, Radio Pakistan reported. Students of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), however, were being given a monthly stipend of Rs 3,500.
Beside stipend, fee support of Rs 5,000 was also being provided to students up to six months. The programme is aimed at enabling the youth to get employment through productive skills.
