Tornagal : A three-day mega job fair is being organized under the joint auspices of the Department of Labour and Employment, the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation and the district administration at the OPJ Centre in Tornagal from March 3 to 5.
Muralidhar Halappa, Chairman of Karnataka Skill Development Corporation, said that the main aim of the job fair was to bring employers and job-seekers face-to-face and ensure that unemployed youths were recruited.
Online enrollment
Nearly 21,000 youths have enrolled online on www.skillandjobfair.com and a couple of thousand more were expected to register themselves. Candidates would be informed about the date and time through SMS. Candidates would also be given skill orientation training on the first day to enable them to face interviews confidently.
Also, there would be LED display of the date and time at the venue. Several reputed companies will be participating in the fair. Candidates should appear with their resumes, five to 10 passport size photographs.
