Banglaore: MindPhoenix India Skill Challenge (MPISC) was officially launched by MindPhoenix, marking a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to promote skill development and entrepreneurship. The challenge, which will see participation from 7-9 states, aims to create a local talent pool and local experts in various skills.
This pan-India initiative aims to identify and nurture exceptional talent across various sectors, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Through innovative programs and initiatives, MindPhoenix empowers organizations and individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
According to Smt. K Ratnaprabha IAS (Retd), Former Chief Secretary, of Karnataka, who was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony: “The MindPhoenix India Skill Challenge is a commendable initiative that will empower young individuals and bridge the critical skill gap in our nation. By providing a platform for skill development and mentorship, the MPISC will play a vital role in creating a skilled and employable workforce. It’s a great opportunity for young people to showcase their skills and receive mentorship and guidance.”
Shri Bhaskar Rao IPS (Retd), Former Police Commissioner of Bangalore, emphasized the importance of skill development in today’s competitive world. “I am delighted to support the India Skill Challenge. This initiative will not only identify and nurture talent but also foster a competitive spirit among young professionals. The focus on mentorship and English communication training is particularly significant in today’s globalized world.The India Skill Challenge is a platform that will enable young people to acquire new skills, enhance their employability, and contribute to the country’s economic growth.”
Shri Maheshwar Rao, IAS, Managing Director, Bangalore Metro Railway Corporation said, “ I am very happy to be at this event, which will transform the way we look at skill development. One of the unique initiative of this program is the Mentoring of candidates. It is also very pertinent to mention that Identification of Experts and their handholding by MindPhoenix is a phenomenal way of upskilling faculty. One of the biggest challenges in Education and Skill today is faculty upskilling. It is good to see that Capt. Kaustav has thought of this.”

Kaustav for his passion towards path breaking Skilling Initiatives. His earlier initiative “Project Hope” was ground breaking and has changed lives of a Transgender Community. Capt. Kaustav Nath, Founding Partner MPASL and Trustee of MPSET, highlighted the need for skill competitions in the country. “The need for skill-based competitions in India is paramount. The India Skill Challenge is a unique initiative that will provide a platform for young people to compete, learn, and grow. It’s a great way to promote skill development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. What we want to Identify is Winning Attitude. The MPISC will provide a much-needed platform for aspiring professionals to showcase their abilities and gain valuable industry exposure. Through this initiative, we aim to create a pool of highly skilled individuals as well as experts, both Locally and Nationally, who can contribute significantly to the nation’s growth. Another aim of MPISC is identify Institutes which can support State Level Skilling during various competitions. MPISC will Recognize institutions and award them at the National Level Competition who will win a maximum number of medals (Olympic Format). With this we will be able to find the Right Candidate, Right Expert and Right Institutions for State Governments too.”
The India Skill Challenge is expected to attract a large number of participants from diverse backgrounds. The competition will be conducted across various stages, culminating in a grand finale at Bangalore where the top performers will be recognized and rewarded.
The participating states include Jammu, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
