Automation Sector Skill Council to bridge demand-supply of skilled manpower

New Delhi : The Instrumentation Automation Surveillance and Communication Sector Skill Council (IASC SSC) today launched a series of initiatives in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi to bridge demand supply of skilled manpower. Chief Guest Mr Rohit Nandan, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship unveiled the “Skilling India- Ek Kadam Atma Nirbharta ki Aur” magazine on the occasion and appreciated the efforts made by IASC SSC in Skilling India.

The highlight of the event was the Preview of Labour Market Information System (LMIS) built by IASC SSC to ensure real time matching of the skill demands of the industry. The function witnessed signing of MoUs with industry partners. CP Plus(upar wala sab dekh raha hai) the leading CCTV brand and BECIL Ltd (Central Public Sector Undertaking) in Broadcast sector signed MoUs for providing industry experts to train trainers in the Surveillance and Broadcast Communication.

A series of strategic MoUs with states and higher education institutions viz MoU with Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission, RV College-Bangalore, ITS-Greater Noida, AKGEC- Ghaziabad and BML Munjal University-Gurgaon were signed to create a pool of master trainers. The Ministry of Rural development represented by Mrs Gayathri Kalia, COO, Deen Dayal Upadhya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana gave a presentation on providing best of opportunities for youth with no opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Nagendra Goel, reiterated IASC SSCs commitment to build the skills of the youth in as required by the industry and called industry to come forward in this national building initiative.
