Position: Associate – Training and Capacity Development

Location: Delhi – with intensive travel to field locations

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Pedagogy or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Experience: Preference will be given to those who have experience in the field of curriculum design, teaching/training or related field

Skills required: 
— Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi
— Excellent Communication, Presentation and Training Skills
— Good managerial skills and ability to work with and motivate team members towards programme goals
— Knowledge of pedagogical theory, behavioral Sciences and community engagement
— Strong conceptual understanding of Mathematics and Science (up to 10th std. level)
— High energy level & the ability to support and motivate others
— Willingness to travel across India, including to rural locations

Project Overview: Learn, Out of the Box’ is a Pratham Education Foundation initiative in partnership with the Vodafone Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd. The programme is an innovative teacher-centric technological intervention which works with 1,000 low-income schools across 08 states of India.

Position Summary: Associate – Training and Capacity Development will be a part of the central management team. The associate manager will be responsible for extending the programme objectives at the grass root level. He/she will be responsible for direction and coordination of all pedagogy, training and capacity development activities with the aim of strengthening stakeholder engagement towards the sustainability of the programme. Additionally, as part of the central management team, the associate manager will also be required to contribute to programme operations and implementation to be involved with and better understand the programme. The programme requires incumbent to extensive traveling to project locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
— Identifying new and working with existing partners to engage and build capacities of principals and teachers
— Training state teams to identify best practices in teaching-learning methods and leveraging them towards programme sustainability
— Designing and leading initiatives to develop the capacity of field staff in an ongoing manner
— Training the state teams to conduct Capacity Development initiatives
— Conducting behavioral assessment studies to identify human factors leading to successes and challenges in projects
— Traveling to project locations to review the programme and assist with operations
— Supporting the Central Team with other tasks as required

Remuneration: Rs. 28,000/- to 30,000/- per month (Gross)
