Another workshop for skill development of north-eastern youth

Red Shield Division conducted “Skill Development Workshop” from March 23 to April 5, in coordination with an NGO, Jogeshwar Centre for Retail Excellence (JCRE) headed by Niranjan, at Tamenglong and Bishnupur districts.

According to a statement issued by the PIB,Defence, Imphal, the aim of the workshop was to provide subsidized skill development training to the unemployed youth and further assist them in getting jobs in Manipur as well as other parts of the country. Red Shield Division in collaboration with the NGO is planning to organize mass skill development workshops all across the State to reduce the unemployment rate of all youth and energize economical development to the state. 25 youth from various villages of Tamenglong district participated in the workshop.

Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division is conducting the workshop from April 18 for a period of 3 months. 32 youth from various villages of Bishnupur district were short-listed for the training after initial screening on March 13. The inaugural session of the subject training was held on April 15. To facilitate the training classroom infrastructure and other ancillary support have been provided to JCRE Skill Solutions Limited at Bishnupur. 20 youth are selected for training in hospitality and 12 youth for electrical works training, it said.
