Mangaldai, Assam: The Department of Electrical Engineering, Assam Skill University (ASU), on 31st July 2026, successfully organized an Internship Project Exhibition showcasing innovative projects developed by students during their internship in the areas of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Solar Energy. The exhibition highlighted the practical skills and technical competencies acquired by students through the department’s industry-oriented internship programme.
A total of 34 students from various colleges and universities successfully completed the internship programme. Participating institutions included Sipajhar College, Mangaldai College, Darrang College, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College (Kokrajhar), Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (Sivasagar Campus), North Lakhimpur University, and Bhattadev University, Bajali.
The projects were evaluated by Sri Nilutpal Dutta, Director, ADREE Energy, who also delivered an expert lecture on “Career Opportunities in Solar Energy and its Future Prospects.”
During his address, Mr. Dutta emphasized the rapidly expanding opportunities in the renewable energy and electric vehicle sectors, encouraging students to develop industry-relevant skills and embrace innovation to contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
Sri Subhas Chandra Das, IAS (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, Assam Skill University, congratulated the Department of Electrical Engineering for successfully conducting the internship programme and organizing the exhibition. He commended the department’s efforts in providing hands-on learning opportunities and reiterated the University’s commitment to nurturing scientific temperament, innovation, and industry-ready professionals.
Sri Hanif Noorani, ACS, Registrar, Assam Skill University, also congratulated the students on the successful completion of their internships and appreciated their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the programme.
