Aditya Birla’s Utkal Alumina International Ltd collaborates with SBI-RSETI, launched skill development training program under CSR

Bhubaneswar: As a part of its CSR initiatives, the Aditya Birla Group Company, Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL) has launched a skill development training on Domestic Electrical Appliances Repair recently at Nuagaon Community Centre of Maikanch G.P of Kashipur block in collaboration with State Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute, Rayagada. Dignitaries from Govt. Bureau, Local PRI representatives as well as Community leaders were invited to grace the occasion.

The programme was jointly inaugurated by Mr. N.K.Ratnam, Additional Director, MSME, Rayagada, Mr. RadhakantaRoutray, Director SBI-RSETI, Mr. Abhimanyu Nayak, Financial Inclusion Consultant, Mr. Dayasagar Meher, Branch Manager, SBI, Sunger along with Mr. B R K Padhi, VP-Mines, Mr. Rakesh Mishra, AVP – Admin.,CSR & Land and legal and Mr. Siba Sankar Mahapatra DGM – CSR of Utkal Alumina. Among others,Mrs.Basanti Majhi, Sarpanch of Maikanch GP & Mr. Sankar Naik, SamitiSabhya were also present in the programme.

30 candidates from six different mines peripheral villages of Utkal Alumina namely Paikakupakhal, Nuagaon, MaikanchKanchguma, Andirakanch and Hatikhaman have been enrolled for this training programme. At the outset, Mr. TaranisenMeher, Program Manager of SBRSETI explained the objective of this training programme. The chief guest of this program Mr. N.K.Ratnan encouraged the newly enrolled candidates by saying that society will give you ample opportunities but would not guarantee your future. So be a master and not a servant, start your own plant or entrepreneurship. All other dignitaries from Govt. deptts, and Utkal Alumina encouraged and explained the candidates on discipline, sincerity and value of time and opportunity.Eventually the program was closed with vote of thanks by Sushant Dhal, Dy. Manager CSR.

This programme was encouraged and highly appreciated by all the local leaders, PRI representatives as well as by the Govt. bureaucrats . Definitely this training will help the unemployed youths to stand in their own feet for their livelihood. This program was well organized and coordinated by Mr. Sudhir Kumar Nayak & Nirupama Barik of Utkal Alumina along with Mr. Taranisen Meher & Ms. P. Srabanti of SBRSETI, Rayagada.
