Bhubaneswar: Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC) has signed a MoU with the World Skill Center (WSC), Bhubaneswar under its CSR initiatives to deliver advanced skill training to youth from the 05 districts of Odisha. The training will be conducted at OHPC units in the state.
Under this CSR initiative, OHPC will sponsor the training of 60 students belonging to marginalized communities from Angul, Koraput, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, and Sambalpur districts. Through this support, OHPC aims to bridge the skill gap and empower young individuals with in-demand technical and service-sector competencies that align with global industry standards.

The selected candidates will undergo intensive training at the World Skill Center in specialized programs such as Beauty & Wellness, Vertical Transportation, Precision Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Electrical Technology, and AC & Refrigeration. These flagship courses deliver hands-on learning, cutting-edge facilities, and structured apprenticeship pathways, ultimately leading to strong employability prospects.

Secretary, SD & TE Dept.-cum-COO representing WSC signed the MoU in presence of senior OHPC officials Sri Pranab Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), Sri Amiya Kumar Mohanty, Director (Operation) I/c, Smt. Anima Tripathy, CGM (HR) and Sri Manoj Kumar Mohanty, DGM (HR) along with WSC officials including Shri T. Thambyrajah, Principal, Smt. Jeetamitra Satpathy, Dy. Principal, Shri Pitchian Anthonysamy and Lim Lai Soon.
