Chennai, India: The Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Council (CGSSC), in collaboration with JBM Auto Limited, successfully organized an Industry Visit and Placement Counselling Drive under the Naan Mudhalvan Finishing School scheme on October 13 at the CGSSC Training Centre, Chennai.
The initiative, conducted under the Recruit-Train-Deploy (RTD) model, provided trainees with direct exposure to real-world manufacturing environments and career pathways in India’s rapidly growing automotive and capital goods sector.
During the drive, industry officials from JBM Auto Limited interacted with trainees, offering valuable insights on precision assembly, quality standards, and career growth in the manufacturing domain. The session culminated in 11 students being shortlisted, with 6 ready to join JBM’s cutting-edge assembly lines immediately upon completion of their CGSSC training and certification.
CGSSC-trained candidates demonstrated high levels of job readiness and technical proficiency, reflecting the effectiveness of industry-integrated training models. “This collaboration marks a significant step toward creating a direct bridge from skill to success. It aligns seamlessly with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and strengthens India’s manufacturing workforce of the future,” said a CGSSC spokesperson.
With more placement drives planned in the coming months, CGSSC continues to build strong talent pipelines through the RTD model—linking skill development to sustainable employment opportunities across India’s industrial ecosystem.
