Skill training for unemployed, trafficked youth

Berhampur (Odisha) :  The Gajapati district administration is set to provide placement-linked training to children and youths, who were rescued from across the state during the second phase of Operation Muskaan campaign.

Police had rescued 37children during the operation carried out between July 25 and August 9.

“One of the rescued is eligible for admission in the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and we have facilitated his entry into ITI Gumma. We have also decided to provide skill development training to other rescued children along with unemployed youths from the vulnerable tribal groups, Soura and Lanjia Soura, particularly in trafficking-prone areas like Mohana, R Udayagiri, Nuagada blocks,” said district collector Sudhansu Mohan Samal.
