Soft skill training for skill development of auto drivers transporting tourists in Port Blair

Port Blair : A training programme for Four Wheeler & Auto Drivers transporting tourists on road was conducted in Port Blair. Smt. Ankita Mishra Bundela, Secretary (Tourism) inaugurated the training. Total 46 drivers attended the training. In the inaugural address, the Secretary (tourism) talked about the important role of drivers in promoting Tourism Industry. Dr. Abhijeet Roy, Directorate of Health Services has taken class on the basics of first aid in emergency during travel, with demonstration.

Sri Krishnamachari, Island Institute of Skill Development has taken class on soft skill with presentation. Sri Arjun Prasad, A&N Police Department (Traffic wing) briefed about the traffic rules. In the afternoon session, Shri Vijay Bahadur Yadav, A&N Police Fire Service Department, talked about the fire safety and how to deal with emergency situations. Shri Mohd. Sajid, Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry highlighted the tourism potential and taken class on how to behave with tourists for promotion of tourism. Sri Deepanshu Singh, Lecturer, DBRAIT, has emphasized the importance of soft skill and hospitality to be followed, by showing a presentation.
